At times, we can find ourselves trapped in a monotonous routine that can limit us. In those moments, we often feel a strong desire to break away from the monotony, disconnect completely, and live in the present moment.

Patricia and I embarked on a journey to the enchanting Balearic Islands of Spain, specifically to the island of Ibiza. We were in search of a secluded and tranquil place that would provide us with a much-needed escape from our daily routine. Our goal was to immerse ourselves in a new and different experience, allowing us to open our minds and hearts to new possibilities.

One afternoon, we were captivated by the beauty of the sunset as we found ourselves surrounded by the aromatic scents and flavors of the Mediterranean. We allowed ourselves to be carried away and fully immersed in the simple, serene, and peaceful environment. In that moment, time seemed to flow with a unique and powerful energy. As we shared mezcal with others at sunset, we felt a deep and wonderful connection with everyone around us. It was a moment of pure magic, where we felt fully present and connected to the world around us.

The power of connection is undeniable, and it’s what inspires us to continue being part of something bigger than ourselves. When we find ourselves in situations or places where we can feel our own energy, live authentic experiences, and let go of everything that holds us back, we open ourselves up to new and exciting possibilities. This is exactly what we experienced on the beautiful island of Ibiza, and it’s what led us to create Ojo de Isla, an artisanal mezcal from Mexico.
